Unseen Book Market and Dummy Award

On the 24th of September, Unseen Living Room presented round table discussion Making Sharing Selling: The Photobook Market Today featuring Natalia Baluta (Russian Independent Selfpublished), Richard Sporleder (Café Lehmitz Photobooks), Bas Vroege (Paradox, Ydoc), and moderated by Raymond Frenken (writer and critic).

This panel discussion was part of the project Market? What Market? initiated by Unseen Book Market and Photobook Week Aarhus. In 2017, both events took place during the same weekend and launched a joint discussion on the role of the photobook market today.

Market? What Market? kicked off with a series of three entries on Unseen Amsterdam’s website, written by guest contributors Gerry Badger, Olivier Cablat and Sebastian Arthur Hau. Conversations surrounding the issues raised by the authors continued during the round table discussions in Aarhus (on the 22, September) and Amsterdam (on the 24, September), and all content was made available to download in an online booklet, including additional unique materials by Natalia Baluta and Carlos Spottorno.

The booklet is available for the download HERE.
